Indian opener Prithvi Shaw has unfortunately been forced to withdraw from the English tournament One Day Cup due to a knee injury. The injury occurred while he was fielding against Durham on Sunday. Following the incident, Shaw underwent a scan to assess the severity of the injury, and the results confirmed the condition.
Currently, Shaw is under the care of the medical team of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). He is scheduled to meet with a specialist in London on Friday to further evaluate the injury and determine the appropriate course of treatment. Shaw’s absence from the tournament is a significant blow, as he has been the top scorer in the One Day Cup so far. In just four matches, he has amassed an impressive total of 429 runs, which includes a remarkable innings of 244 runs.
