AWS signs agreement with ISRO and IN-SPACe

Amazon Web Services (AWS) India Pvt Ltd has entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Center (IN-SPACe). The purpose of this collaboration is to support space-tech innovations through the utilization of cloud computing.
By partnering with ISRO and IN-SPACe, AWS aims to provide access to cutting-edge cloud technology for space startups, research institutes, and students. This access will facilitate the development of new solutions in the space sector by leveraging the power of cloud computing.
Shalini Kapoor, the Director and Chief Technologist of Public Sector at AWS India and South Asia, highlighted the significance of cloud-based innovations in the aerospace industry. She emphasized that cloud computing enables faster and better decision-making, thereby expanding the possibilities within the sector.
AWS is committed to assisting startups in identifying their adoption needs and accelerating the development of solutions. Additionally, the collaboration aims to foster the growth of cloud and aerospace talent in India, further strengthening the country’s capabilities in the space-tech domain.
